Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. As the CFO, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of our company, ensuring financial stability, and driving sustainable growth. This role involves overseeing all aspects of corporate finance, financial planning, risk management, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s overall vision and goals. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Investment & Funding: Identify and manage investment opportunities, funding strategies, and capital structure. Lead fundraising efforts and investor relations.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures. Ensure the company’s financial practices are compliant with statutory regulations and legislation.
  • Operational Efficiency: Streamline financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and support business growth. Oversee financial audits, tax planning, and compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Sustainable Finance: Drive initiatives related to Green IT and Ethical AI, ensuring that financial strategies support sustainability and ethical practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role within the IT services or technology sector.
  • Education: Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
  • Ethical Standards: Commitment to ethical practices and sustainability. Experience with Green IT and Ethical AI is highly desirable.
